DJ Xplicid is a part of a versatile nightlife, bridal, corporate, and private crew of DJs, photographers, videographers, and other industry personnel that cater to sectors of young professionals who want the nightlife talent with professionalism. He is a United States Navy Veteran, having served from 2000-04 aboard the USS Carl Vinson CVN-70 during Operation Enduring Freedom.

I worked my 🍑 off during the entire Oct-Dec season to have this time. 2 things here, when you take time off (from what you love) can you really take time off mentally? It’s hard isn’t it? I just got some new software and hardware i haven’t even used a whole lot and my mind is still in the studio. How do you shutdown to just chill a bit? I wanted to ask this question because it’s important! You’ve gotta let go on your off days and not feel bad about taking time off completely. If you’re still taking calls, answering emails at the beach 🏖, are u really chilling?

⁣ Today is my last wedding of the year/decade. I’ve spent the last 10 years in this decade DJ’ing some 350 weddings or so primarily around the Tampa Bay Area. ⁣ ⁣ There have been a lot of venues, styles, ethnicities, vendors, music, prep, and equipment upgrades. ⁣ ⁣ Most of these weddings, i noticed the couple had absolutely no idea who they were getting or what experience this person had and focused mostly on how much the DJ was. ⁣ ⁣ I can rant forever, but you really want to know who your guy or gal is DJ’ing/MC’ing your wedding. Do they have photos, videos, venues, proper equipment even? ⁣ ⁣ 🚨 Do better! Get to know the person handling your special day! 🚨 ⁣ ⁣ Lastly, equipment does matter, but you are actually paying for the person’s time. It’s more than just setting up equipment and letting it rip. I move my gear 4 times for someone’s day (Garage - truck - venue - back to truck - back to garage) not including the time it takes to plan and talk to you, then put everything together. ⁣ ⁣ I absolutely love my career in entertainment and i take it pretty seriously.
